Fall Concert - Sunday, October 6, 2019

    Magic Spells! was the theme for the October 6, 2019, family concert, featuring a magic spell gone awry, a tale from Arabian Nights, singing witches, an upbeat American and a surprise from the son of J.S. Bach.

​

    The concert included:

  • Air in D from Orchestral Suite No.3 by Johann Sebastian Bach, to honor the memory of Frank R. Bodor, 1931-2019.

  • Symphony No. 1 in D Major by C.P.E. Bach.

  • The Sorcerer's Apprentice by Paul Dukas.

  • Abu Hassan Overture by Carl Maria von Weber.

  • Witches Music from Macbeth by Giuseppe Verdi, with guest performers Erika Walker Duderstadt, mezzo soprano, and Sierra McCorvey and Rebecca Enlow, sopranos.

  • Upbeat! by Ellen Taaffe Zwilich.​

  • Night on Bald Mountain by Modest Mussorgsky.
